Recently, I read a wonderful write up by a dear friend who runs a completely different type of business to mine. Regardless of the business, his words really resonated with me.

I’ve often said that when my daughter was born, my entire view of the world shifted. She became my why. The reason behind everything I do.  Why I wanted to build a business that not only feeds my creativity but also gives me the freedom to raise her and be present for every big and small moment.

I know how truly blessed I am to be a stay-at-home mum, to have a wonderful husband who works hard to provide for our family so that I can be home, and to have the chance to grow something of my own in the process, in my own time. My hope is that one day my business, this little slice of creative storytelling, will contribute to our family too.

As my friend so beautifully put it, the dreams we build are no longer just for us, but also for them. For our children. For their opportunities in life.

When I pick up my camera, I’m reminded of that every single day. Photography allows me to catch fleeting moments,  to hold on to the laughter, the messy moments, the quiet cuddles, and the milestones that seem to pass all too quickly.

It’s more than just taking pictures; it’s storytelling, memory keeping and pieces of your family history.

I want my daughter to grow up knowing that both her mum and dad did their best for her, that we worked hard, loved fiercely, and created something meaningful together. I hope she sees that following your passion can be part of building a life you love.

Through my lens, I am lucky enough to see the world slightly differently. I get to celebrate moments with families. I get to capture the joy and love found with in each one. Every photograph I take, whether it’s of my own little family or someone else’s ,is a reminder of why I started. For love. For connection. For her.
